Need a clear to-scale 2D mechanical-room layout with equipment for a boiler
or hydronic package? Start here: upload the floor plan or mech-room plan and Div 23 schedules.
You get a layout / fit review ask — scoped with James before work starts.
Purpose (dual — both equally valid):
(1) Estimating — estimating-grade scaled layout so takeoff can run; or
(2) On file — keep the same layout for later jobs / BOD swaps.
Not decorative.
Today: plan upload + alternate / fit drawings from your plans.
Coming (MRS Field Layout): on-site as-found capture and equipment photos when available — then the same alternate / fit drawing path.
Used for engineer clarification, alternate / fit options, and package coordination.
Not a PE stamp promise — scope and deliverables are confirmed before drawing work proceeds.
Pricing
Free in Upstate NY · travel outside
FREE for Upstate NY — James’s territory
(NYS outside NYC: Rochester · Buffalo · Syracuse and the rest of upstate).
Outside territory: you cover travel costs based on location —
flight, hotel, food, and per diem. No published dollar amounts; James quotes travel
case-by-case for the job site. Honest cost recovery, not a fee schedule.
Scope is confirmed with you before layout / drawing work starts.
Fit / alternate drawing assist only — licensed engineer owns any stamped drawings.

- Matches the exact original plan sheet format
- New equipment only — old BOD equipment fully removed (no whiteout)
- Boiler placed per manufacturer IOM
- Piping shown connected to finals on the new unit
- Flue included on the exhibit
- Clearances and KEY / notes stay off the drawing (companion memo)

- Project name, location, and need-by date when you can

MRS Field Layout
When a site visit is needed, MRS Field Layout is our as-found capture service:
a measured mechanical-room layout plus photos of major equipment and nameplates,
then an alternate / fit drawing under the same rules as above, delivered for your review.

How to request: Use the RFQ form and set Interest type to
Equipment room layout / fit drawings (Field Layout). Attach plans right on the form (up to 10 files, 20 MB total).
We confirm scope with you before layout work starts.
Not for construction until approved. Alternate / fit exhibits and MRS Field Layout captures are assist documents only. Licensed engineer of record owns stamped drawings and final design. Do not build from these materials without written approval.
